Natalie Tatje was named Cabrini High ALUMNA OF THE YEAR. Cabrini President Ardley Hanemann, Jr (right) presented Tatje with the honor during a studenty assembly on Feb. 5, 2010.

2010 Alumna of the Year: Natalie Natal Tatje ’81

Natalie Natal Tatje graduated from Cabrini in 1981. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from LSU. In the summer of 1985, even before graduating from LSU, she began her career in the insurance industry. In 1993, opened her own insurance office in La Place. Natalie is the owner/agent of Tatje Insurance and Financial Products, where she is licensed to sell all types of insurance. She is also a partner in Tatje Investments and in Tat-Lyn, LLC, a real-estate management firm. Natalie is a wife and mother of two. Besides her work as an insurance executive and a homemaker, Natalie has taken Mother Cabrini’s principle of service to heart and has been very involved both in her community and in the Cabrini community.

In October 2007, Natalie ran for State Representative-Dist. 57 and was edged out by only 149 votes. Natalie has volunteered with the American Heart Association since 1993, serving on the Board (as president for 4 years). Since 2000, she has also been actively involved with the Rotary Club of La Place, having served as secretary, sergeant-at-arms, and vice-president. In 2003, Natalie received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award for service and dedication to the Rotary Club.

Natalie has coached baseball, softball, and soccer. She serves on the board for the Belle Terre swim team. She does volunteer work at Holy Cross and never fails to help at Cabrini, her alma-mater. She has volunteered at many school events. In 2006, Natalie organized the CHS Alumnae reunion cruise. She is always working and present at Cabrini events. She is currently working with the Gala committee securing large donations from old and new donors.

Natalie is an amazing and very strong woman. She has overcome obstacles with great faith. She is really a model for Cabrini students: a mother and wife, a successful business woman, a community leader, a Christian who dedicates time and energy to others, and a loyal alumna, working hard to keep Cabrini strong.
